  • Fragmented Donation and Referral Journeys: Key pathways such as donating, referring a child, or getting involved were buried or unclear, creating friction for users looking to take action.

  • Limited Accessibility and Bilingual Support: The old site did not meet accessibility best practices and struggled to offer a consistent experience in both English and French, limiting its inclusivity and reach.

  • Content Management Limitations: Internal teams had difficulty updating and managing content, resulting in inconsistent branding, outdated information, and inefficiencies in day-to-day operations.

  • Lack of Strategic Scalability: The existing infrastructure did not support long-term growth or evolving campaign needs, making it difficult to adapt the site for future initiatives or national storytelling efforts.

To bring Make-A-Wish Canada’s vision and mission to life online, we led a collaborative, end-to-end website transformation across 7 months focused on accessibility, flexibility, and emotional impact.

  • Integration of Donation and Referral Pathways: We designed flexible page layouts that empower content authors to place calls to action exactly where they matter most, right alongside relevant stories, resources, and information. Whether prompting users to donate, refer a child, or learn more, the structure makes it easy to guide engagement through meaningful, well-placed interactions.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Post-launch, we provided comprehensive training sessions, both for technical staff and for content authors, as well as documentation to empower Make-A-Wish Canada’s staff. This ensured they could confidently manage and update the website, fostering long-term sustainability.
